Good Gravy!! This job can rival any roller coaster ride I have ever stood in line for, held on for dear life on, or wished I had chosen the swings immediately after. There is simply no steady-she-goes for this career, none. Maybe that is why we do what we do? Never a dull moment, never a watch the clock boring sort of day.
As I am holding my breath for the latest news on my latest transaction, I find myself swatting away at my lap. Strange for most, I realize; however, I work many days from my home office which includes my home owner (who happens to be a small, yet slightly demanding Cocker Spaniel).
After about the 4th time of swatting, I look down to see the most precious, yet pitiful looking eyes.
While I am chatting away on the phone, typing away on the computer, beating a dead horse ad nausem, all he wants is a hug. My incessant swatting did absolutely nothing to deter his desire. So I stopped.
I did the first thing that actually made sense in about 5 hours! I stopped swatting and started hugging. It is good for the soul!
