I have found recently that with all the critism in the market from the media that many people who could or should be buying homes are not. They are simply staying away. All the bad news has scared people. Let me say this, there are still great banks with great rates with great loan Officers and great programs that can be utilized. While some lenders have fallen off in recent months I liken it to if  lets say on main street in your city there were 43 businesses and 6 were restaurants 1 was a car dealer 2 were home improvement type places and 1 was a gas station and the other 33 were barber shops and salons, that just wouldnt work. one barber shop would cut its price to draw more business than another in reaction it would be a never ending cycle of cutting "rates" to beat the competition while taking on more and more debt because of narrowing profit margins and just fighting to keep the doors open. Now while this will work for a little while eventually the investor behind Bobbys Barber Shop is going to cut his funding. That is what has happened. Fortunately the good ones are still around.  Now all the consumers who are on the fence that are considering buying I suggest talking with a Real Estate Professional as well as a Loan Officer with a REPUTABLE company. If you as a potential borrower ask questions than you will find a good loan and a great home. The market is not nearly as bad as the media says. Keep in mind the media has to report things and bad things are what sells. Watch the news tonight and see if they show one thing about a young child collecting donations for a childrens hospital. I bet they won't and I know it happens because they were in my neighborhood last week. They will however report about all the terrible things that have happened in the day and all the things we should be scared of. Right now is a buyers market so I say today that it is time to buy. Please do not wait until they tell you its time to buy because then it will be a sellers market and you will have missed a great opportunity. Make the decision look at house stop in and consider this a great time to look. You have no pressure, you can take a couple days to think about a property. If there is any way I can help call me. My Bank lends in almost every state and has branches all over. Thank you for reading and I look forward to talking with you.
