Wanted to share this Christmas Star over Fort Myers Beach with all of you ! I was showing a gorgeous direct Gulf front condo to an agent from out of the area. She has a client coming to Fort Myers Beach next week to look at property. After looking at the unit I took her to the roof top deck to see the panoramic view. I took several shots of the Gulf and people enjoying a nice evening walk . This one just seemed to speak to us both ! I used a circular polarizer filter to create the effect and still get the lone beach walker . I wanted all my AR friends to enjoy a little bit of what we sometimes take for granted ! Here you go ! Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
Wow what a terrific shot you took. And getting the lone beach walker was a added bonus! What rooftop were you on? Merry Christmas to you and your family Bill.
Hi June, The Bay to Beach condo has an " owner's only " rooftop sunning/viewing deck. We ended up there for a final look at the view available to owners and guests. As the sun was setting I tried to fire off several shots of the beach and change some settings on my camera. All the best to you !
Hi Bill, What an awesome shot and photo! And timely, too, as we had snow overnight. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Gary, As you know, I am a Michigan transplant and have so many fond memories of our great state ! Although I still wish the Lions were playing better ! Hope your Holiday Season is the best ever !
Hello Anne, Just a spur of the moment thing to grab the new camera. Best of the Holidays to you and yours !
Bill, that is a great picture. Thanks for sharing it. I'd be willing to spend Christmas there in the warmth. No problem.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Merry Christmas Bill to you and Those you Love.
That is a great photo and even if it is not a star, it is really quite a beautiful photo.
Hi Bill, Had a blast showing such a nice condo. Merry Christmas to you also !
Hi William, It was actually the setting sun through a circular polarizer filter. Sometimes I just get lucky. I very much enjoy your photo work here in the "Rain. Merry Christmas !
Bill,
What a great photo & post! ...and a Happy New Year to you and yours!
Mike in Tucson
Hi Mike, Remember the old saying about never going anywhere without your camera ! Best of the New Year to you !
Hi Wayne, Thanks for the kind words but any resemblance to talent is purely accidental ! I did invest in a great camera with a wide angle lens. Hope your 2011 is the best ever !
Bill, This is a gorgeous picture. We have to stop and see the "signs" that in front of us daily. You were so fortunate to catch this one on film - a picture says a thousand words.
Hi Sandy, Pure coincidence to have brought the camera. Gave me a chance to experiment with a new filter. Hope your New Year is the best ever!
That is a terrific picture, Bill. Thank you for sharing it with us. What camera do you use?
Hi Toni, Thanks for the kind words. I upgraded my point & shoot to a Nikon D80. For our real estate needs I bought a Sigma 10-20 mm wide angle lens. What an amazing difference ! This shot was almost directly into the sun so I used a polarizer filter. The effect was due to the filter. I'm really just learning how to use the D80 but now do most of the listing pics for our office.
Hi Renee, And just who are these handsome critters ? Best of 2011 to you ( and the critters ! ).
