As a speaker, coach, church leader I meet people all the time who share with me what they want. They share what they want in life, in business, in their family etc. We all have wants but do we possess what it takes to get what we want.
Most people say they want something, but what they really mean is that it would be nice if. They really are ready or want to pay the sacrifice it takes to get the reward they want. You see, every great reward requires a great sacrifice. The question is are you willing to pay the sacrifice.
I was watching the biggest loser on TV the other night. Several people were chosen to begin a weight loss program. They took 2 contestant and let them begin to pick teams from the remaining people. Remember these people have dealt with a low self esteem, ridicule and humiliation their entire life and they are now being chosen by their piers to continue on the show. There were 6 that were not going to be picked.
My heart went out to the 6 who were not picked. they have experienced rejection in their life from other people and NOW the rejection is coming from their piers. This had to hurt. I was angry at the show because I thought "how could they do that to someone"
They went from hope of a better life, to complete humiliation, defeat, and rejection once again.
Then there was a plot twist. A trainer from a previous episode showed up to let the 6 unpicked contestants know she was going to work with them personally to build a 3rd team. When she showed up on the scene hope was restored. Their eyes lit up and they felt accepted again.
This trainer was very specific. She said that she was going to work them harder than they have ever been worked before. There would be test, trials, physical pain and more. She was doing this to make them better than they were now. That is what a coach and trainer does. they stretch you for your own good.
But once their training started, so did the complaining, belly griping and so forth. I thought "do you really want this? Are you you really willing to pay the price?"
So that is the questions to you. How bad do you want to succeed in Realestate? In Lending? Are you willing to pay the sacrifice?
To your success
Tim
