New Master Planned Community Planned for Honolulu Kakaako Neighborhood

According to KHON Channel 2 News, Kamehameha Schools, owner of several land parcels in this neighborhood, has "hired Architects Hawaii to design the renovation of 680 Ala Moana Boulevard and plans to complete construction by the end of 2012". 

The Kakaako area is best described as located just past the Ala Moana Shopping Center as you are headed toward the Airport from Waikiki.  Noted for the Ward Center Retail areas as well as Restaurant Row, this neighborhood will continue to benefit from one of the most interesting Master Plans developed within the city of Honolulu seen in quite some time.
