Midori, great post. Blogging and Forums are 2nd nature to me, and i am fairly new to activerain (1 month).  I haven't reached that defining moment on AR.. maybe it'll be when blog turns into $$

Midori...I am honored and so touched by your words! That was a defining moment for me and I remember our comment exchange and how you helped me spin it positive when I couldn't see it myself. Thank you so much Midori for this post and most importantly for being you!

I regret deleting a few of mine...then I could keep going back and looking how lame they were lol!  I still left many for just that purpose....haha. We all have grown...mine in just six months. Six months. wow...it seems like longer for some reason.

Defining moments, excellent. Oh I have gone back and read quite a few, Yuk. But, we learn and grow and stick with it. Reading others inspires me to do better and better. Commenting forms relationships.

Very nice my friend..I look back at some of my old comments I was getting on old posts..interesting just like reading stuff I wrote long ago...seems like we met years ago huh?

Midori - Since I've been blogging and commenting vitually since day one, it's hard to pick one moment, but there are a few that stand out in my mind.  The first one was having George Tallabas guide me through the Google maze and inspired me to change my profile so that it was Google-friendly.  This is an obvious difference.  The other defining moment came when I commented on Desiree Daniels blog "My Destiny......"  It was about 9/11, but it was about a month early.  I shared a lot of my personal story and at that moment I realized that I wasn't just here to wax on about real estate, but rather to connect with people.  Thanks for sharing your defining moment and for this blog which should make us all reflect back.

Hi Midori - I dare say we've all changed quite a bit since joining AR, whenever that might be.  I joined last July 2006, and had no clue what I was doing.  Not that I'm full of clues now, but I do have a great network of friends all across the country that I didn't have before, that's for sure. 

I looked back at my old posts not all that long ago, and I could pinpoint exactly when I learned different things here, such as inserting pictures and links, etc.

I have many defining moments in life and a bunch of them here on AR. There is a lesson in each of them and a fork in the road. I think my latest one just came within the last day.

I loved reading about your journey here on AR and the defining moments along your way..well done!

Hi Midori, I have gone back though my old posts but not recently. They are all excellent!!! OK maybe not:) What I did find is I have gotten a lot wordier. I just can't seem to write a short post anymore. I'll keep trying though. Thanks for the mention by the way.

Joan-I had a good laugh going through some of my old comments.  I actually saw  some of my posts that I would like to rewrite now.  I also saw good material that I could make better.  I say go for it!  It is fun and really enlightening.

Monika-You have no idea how much that interaction meant to me.  It changed everything for me..I loved the fact that you ran with it and made it into something huge..I absolutely love what the Patriot Guard Riders stand for..I feel proud to be an American..They remind me...You Remind Me...I knew there was a reason I admired you....I can remember in the early days how much I enjoyed your post and am still today a huge fan.  Thanks Monika for all of your great posts and thoughts.  I do hope you and I have an opportunity to meet someday.

Neal-that is what is so amazing to me.  I feel like you and I have known each other for a long long time.  I thought of you....today with the big clapping hands.  I still laugh everytime I think of them or see them.   

Adam-I had many defining moments.  Another one which made me realize it was a social network and we are all live real people was when Nima was in the hospital.  I remember I was feeling so sad for him and I wanted to go visit him.  That was another defining moment.   I would have included it in my post expcept I could not find a comment or a post about it!  To me still the most amazing part....it's FREE!  How lucky are we.  Thanks for commenting.

Ann-Yes, we have all changed and improved! It's amazing...the knowledge I have gained on the network overflows into other parts of our lives.  I know what you are saying when looking at post.  I loved that Glow in the Dark Cool Text and still use it once in a while.  It was my graphic of choice!  Its funny and all good!  Thanks for commenting.

Hi Jo-Anne-Yes, Congrats on the contest.  And yes, something else is going on.  Didn't read much of it. People are people, and people are gonna do what people do.. Nice post.....I went back the other day and saw my first 7 posts only had 1 comment for all of them :) :)  My defining moment was reading TLW's post on reciprocating comments....that is when I learned, and really started enjoying all the great things offered here.

Bryant-I don't think you had any bad articles...yes you are wordier but we have more xplaining to do right?  I mention you both because it meant a lot!  Something that is probably natural to both of you and customary meant so much to me!

I love going back and reading my old posts.  It gives me great insight to what I was thinking at any given time.  Some of them are embarrassing because they are SOO bad, but I am not deleting them.  They are what they are!  I haven't been blogging that long.  I can't wait to look back a year from now!

Hi Ginger-I left most of my old post but rewrote many.  I can see the progress I have made through the year!  You are doing an awesome job and the truth is the more practice we get the better we are.  I appreciate you commenting.

I've been on AR about 2 months and felt apprehensive at first.   I see my confidence improving; I gleen from the wealth of information provided by the AR community.  I've written 7 blogs to date and have a goal of writing at least 2 blogs a week, as an opportunity to impart information to others, as well as a way to challenge personal growth.  Thank you for an insightful blog....
