It's usually best to set a chair in an otherwise awkwardly blank section by a window to create additional seating and a feeling of relaxation...

And nothing says "take a load off" more than an inviting sofa in an otherwise stark entry...

Who says you have to be a millionaire to have your home staged to sell? If you use your imagination, you can get anything to sell...to the right buyer!

Seriously, though...I thought these cardboard creations were so inventive that they deserved sharing. You can always make something out of just about nothing. All you need is a little imagination and some duck tape, right?

We could be on to something here! You know how some agents tack up little notes that call attention to details, like, "notice the 42" cabinets/builder upgrade" ? Well, maybe we could just make giant post it furniture out of cardboard...like the big cut outs of actors that we see at the video rental stores...what do you think? Virtual staging...

Lania, funny you should bring up cardboard furniture.  I just blogged about a company that makes that stuff for realtors and stagers.  It looks just a tad better than the homemade stuff though :-)  Cute pictures.

Lania ... perfect for my son's room but I would hesitate to use it elsewhere.  Thanks for your post.

You may think funny but I actually had a realtor ask if I could stage the house with cardboard furniture to keep the costs down. Staging is not an expense but an investment, when will they learn

Maybe we can get our hands on some of those cardboard tvs and computers the furniture stores use in there displays.  Too Funny!

But what about the Crate Furniture that some are using for setting the stage? They are just that- crates. Usually covered in fabric, but still crates.
