Talk about Getting Into The Spirit Of Christmas.  These houses are about a mile from me on Sand Hill Road In Middletown.  They are side by side, and have gone decorated their homes to the hilt.  There is a constant stream of cars going by every evening to see these houses, and they are also collecting food for those that are in need at this time of the year.

I hope you enjoy the pictures, but they don't do the real thing justise.  These house light up the whole neighborhood and can even be seen from Rt 9.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

George, What's really wonderful is that these folks created an attraction to bring people to them and then they are collecting food for those that need it.  Maybe they did the lights to help the donations??  Wonderful!  Thank you so much for sharing.

Geaorge ... I Like the idea of collecting for the Food Bank. I'll suggest it next year when we "Light Up Watertown."

George,

I have a house, across the street from me, that has it decorated and lit up in the evening.  We don't need street lights!  Hope your Christmas was the best, ever!

Happy New Year!

Ann, I enjoy looking at them too.

Frances no street lights needed on this street either :)

Judi they put a lot of effort into this, but I think that it paid off because they did collect a lot of food.

Nick glad you reminded me about the egg nog, I need to go have a glass :)

George,

I didn't know that Middletown had its own version of Frisbee Circle in Wolcott. That's cool. Now, if every town in CT could do something like that...

George, thanks for sharing these christmas lights It is amazing how families will go all out and decorate. We have a few in our area too. I thinks the bins to collect food for the needy was a neighborly gesture and so beneficial in times like these. The clock is tick and we will be soon say farewell to 2010 and welcoming in 2011.

may good health always follow you
may this year bring you much pleasure
may you build memories to treasure
and may 2011 be the best year you ever had.
