So we are snowed in today for sure. On my last post Christmas day, I received a comment from a kate who lives on Deer Run Ridge. Well Kate if you are reading today we live on Deer Run Ridge too!!!!
So here is what it looks like at 11 am on Sunday here in Big Canoe. You can see the mountains in the back ground and some of the slope in the fore ground. This is the walk up I had yesterday when I foolishly "braved " the elements.

The road in the picture lifts up on the left hand side of the shot. This is Deer Run Ridge. And this is why we are in for the day. It is absolutely beautiful. The highlight of the day yesterday was seeing my down neighbor outside and alone. She happily came up and had Christmas dinner with us. So we had my wife my sister-in-law and Alice our neighbor for a very festive Christmas.
Big Canoe is a winter wonderland today. So the question is when was the last time there was a white Christmas in the North Georgia Mountains and Atlanta. Answer 100 years ago !!!
All of you in the Northeast be careful it is on its way.

Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. Hope you decorated a tree with edible decorations for your feathered and furry friends.
Charlie, great pictures... we were snowed in with about 30" of snow December 6th and 7th and then another 12" plus on the 13th. However, I heard on the radio (on the 21st) that Colorado was expecting three to ten ... wait for this feet of snow. Kinda puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
Hi Charlie, Very nice photos! So far, we've been lucky with the snowfall amount..not too much compared to other years, which I'm very thankful. Wishing you and your family a Happy and prosperous New Year!
Charlie...it's snowing here for the 2nd day in a row...it's beautiful. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas!
What beautiful snowy pictures. Just a dusting here in Maryland, which is fine by me.
Charlie: We have been watching CNN and seeing how much snow you are getting. While it is what we expect to experience every year here in Ottawa, I am sure that once every 100 years leaves you a little less prepared than we are. Good luck with the shoveling, bend your knees, take it easy and lucky you, it will all melt soon.
Your pictures truly depict your cold weather. I showed property to people from Georgia just before I left Surprise AZ a few days ago. They want to get out from shoveling snow during the winter to shoveling sun. Hope you are keeping warm.
Charlie...
It sure is pretty though, isn't it?
Charlie ~ You took some aswsome pictures. We got about 6 inches here and yes I am still snowed it too. Maybe by tomorrow I can get out too cold for snow to melt and windy today.
