Hudson Gardens- Littleton Colorado- Happy Holidays

Voted "Best Holiday Lighting" by Denver's Westword Magazine. The Museum of Outdoor Arts and The Hudson Gardens and Event Center in Littleton Colorado show cased their annual lighting show on nearly 15 acres of gardens. The Hudson Gardens were transformed into a winter wonderland.

With temperatures in the mid 20's and no snow, Hudson Gardens provides the perfect escape from the holiday shopping in Littleton Colorado. The 15 acres of gardens feature an animal parade, a flock of electric sheep with ever-changing algorithm projections, and a synchronized light show atop the Hudson house. If that is not enough, there are horse drawn carriage rides that take you through the gardens the magical frost garden that utilizes the natural ravines that run through the gardens.

This is one of the best light shows that I have seen around the Denver Metropolitan area in years. After purchasing a cup of chocolate and cider, you walk through the Hudson Gardens gates and immediately feel as though you have stepped into a wintry- whimsical- Alice in Wonderland light show.  You walk through the lighted paths and see 100 year old trees decorated and surrounded with lighted horses and deer. Mid way through the walk is the lighted Hudson Garden house with bleachers to watch the synchronized light show.

The end of the tour was kinda fun with the flock of electric sheep, lighted tee-pees and the hobbit hole. The Holiday Show at Hudson Gardens is only open through January 2, 2011. So if you have not seen The Hudson Gardens Holiday Show in Littleton Colorado, I would take an hour for a fun walk in Littleton Colorado. For more information, you can go to the Hudson Holiday site.
