Bulverde Gardens-A San Antonio Garden Home CommunityBulverde Gardens-A San Antonio Garden Home Community

Bulverde Gardens is a San Antonio garden home community situated about one mile north of Loop 1604 off Bulverde Road. McMillan Homes is the sole builder in the community of less than fifty platted lots. Construction in Bulverde Gardens began in 2008. (I wrote a post about-Roseheart San Antonio Garden Home, another garden home community off Bulverde Road too.) The builder's marketing materials states the price range for new homes in the community is from the mid $190s. Although as usual with new home communities, very few houses are built at the lowest stated entry price.

The homes in Bulverde Gardens are either single story or one and a half stories, and are between 1,663 to 2,830 square feet. The half story will typically contain a media room or game room, and a bath room.Bulverde Gardens-San Antonio TX Wayne-Johnson.com

McMillan Homes is a quality builder and I have no reservations about showing their properties. Garden homes fit the life style needs for several segments of the home buying populations. People looking to down-size their housing requirements as a result of a change in the size of the family, people moving up from a starter home but not needing a great deal more space, and people moving from a rental situation, but not needing a lot more living space.

Homes in Bulverde Gardensoffer the full range of amenities found in luxury and near luxury properties in San Antonio. Granite, stainless steel appliances, art niches, archways; if you want it, they can get it for you.

Lots are still available. If you would like for information about garden homes in San Antonio, give me a call. I will be doing another post about The Elms, another garden home community off Lockhill-Selma, before the end of the year.

Wayne,  I just got back from SA and instead of going up HWY 35 to get back home to Dallas we went through the hill country and drove through Bulverde and wow!!!  The North part of 1604 is booming.  Lot's of great stores to shop at along with several restaurants to select from.   I could not believe how much that area has grown.  Make me feel like I want to move to that area.

Wayne--it has been awhile since we visited San Antonio.  My husband has an aunt & cousin there.  Once we drove from Lubbock to SA then to Houston.  Lots of miles on the rental car.  BIG state.

Love the history.  Good luck marketing these properties.

Stephanie-In the 13 years we've been in San Antonio Loop 1604 has become in some ways a smaller version of Dallas I-635. I like taking US 281 north from San Antonio. I will usually cut over to hit I-35 someplace north of Austin. I do not enjoy the Austin bottleneck and I'm to cheap to use the toll road. Hope you had a great XMAS and the new year brings you much success.

Mary-You are so right about the big state. Not sure if you like auto travel over long distances or not but I've heard there are sections of the Interstate here where you can travel at 80mph legally. Heading out to Lubblock from here would certainly shorten the trip, ups the gas needed but less time to get there. Thanks for you comment.

Wayne--I don't remember 80 mph, but 75 and flat is how I describe west TX.  At night oncoming headlights might be miles & miles away.  My brother loves his little town of Nazerath.  He started out in Lubbock, then Tulia & now Nazareth.  For now he comes back to PA once a year to see our 88 yr old mother.  At some point we will make another trip to TX or meet him at a vacation destination.

Happy New Year, Wayne
