Ah - BACK TO WORK EVERYONE!

The packages have been opened, visitors are leaving and our homes are returning to a somewhat normal state. Now it is time to get our minds back on work. We only have one more week before the new year is upon us. This can be a great week to prepare for the new year. *Put away 2010 files. Take out old papers from those files that you no longer need to get them as lean as possible. *Clean out your desk - organize as much as you can. It is amazing how much junk can accumulate in there. *Check on your licensing fees, dues and other memberships that will be coming up. *Type of your goals for 2011. Post them somewhere where you can see them daily. *Write notes to past clients this week. Let them know you have been thinking of them. *Get your information ready for your taxes. Find the receipts and get everything organized by month. I use a spreadsheet to categorize things in. My CPA love this. These are just a few things to get you started for a great beginning to the new year.

Hi Paula, hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas.

I was at the after-Christmas sale today, got some great deals at Target, Palais Royal & Macys.

Thanks for the reminder to clear out our files & prepare for the New Year.  This will be my project for this weekend.  I'd rather get it done now instead of procrastinating!

You have it together. I will take care of this stuff after the New Year begins. Right now I want to enjoy some more time with my daughter while she is still out of school.

I love giving myself headstarts and plan to go back to somewhat of a routine tomorrow - although I'm taking my aunt all over TX too. We'll see about that. But I'm proud of myself for getting business expenses completed on Christmas Eve.

I have all my folders segmented so its not too hard for me to stay organized, planning on working on this during the week and getting my 2011 folders ready!

This is my favorite time of year.

Reviewing what worked, what has not worked, what you should have done, could have done, what you will do, and otherwise gearing up for an exciting New Year.

Paula,

Way to be organized. I love this week for many of the things you mentioned. I don't feel the need to get work done, as much as to get prepared for the coming year
