How many CDD (Community Development District) Communities are there in the Jacksonville area of Northeast Florida?
This is a great question we have often wondered ourselves, so we did a little research and this is what we came up with.
There are 53 registered Community Development Districts in the four county area of Jacksonville - Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns.
Most of the CDDs have the same name as the community, however there are exceptions. The Crossings at Fleming Island is Eagle Harbor. Double Branch CDD and Middle Village CDD are Oakleaf Plantation. South Village CDD is Eagle Landing.
CDD Communities have Homeowner's Associations, but they do not really have much responsibility until the bonds are paid off the the community is being run by the HOA when the CDD disbands.
