I was out "working" yesterday and can't tell you how wonderful it was to be at someone else's home and hearing their issues.  I actually wondered if I would be able to get my mind off my home and it was SO easy to let go and get back to what I love.

Through this whole lesson (which gets more complicated by the day but I'm NOT discussing that now :), I kept noticing something that normally would have completely THROWN me even just a few years ago.  The things I am doing to my home is costing me thousands and thousands of dollars.  And for some reason I am not worried about it.  I already know I'm not "normal" by any means (nor would I want to be!) but how could this not worry me?  When my children were little I sometimes worked two jobs and went to night school to keep this house.  And no matter how exhausted I was, would be up late into the night worrying about the money....

Would I make it?  I wanted desperately to keep them in the same school and, for that matter, the same home so their lives were disrupted as little as possible during my divorce.  And now, everything that I've worked so hard for could potentially be lost and I'm not worried about the MONEY?

I am reposting something that helped me and many of my clients.  It was advice for covering your bills.  It seems almost too easy to work but don't dismiss it.  When I began to use this, it worked.  I used the Intention that all my bills would be covered---and the rest is my "play" money.  My PLAY money got me to Paris this year---with all my bills paid.

Since more people seem interested in Feng Shui now then they did before, I'm asking you to truly try this.  And for any "newbies" on there who might want to give Feng Shui a try, just do this one thing.  If it works for me AND for my clients, it just might work for you as well.  Remember, you can NOT pay your bills online.  This takes your effort and your Intention.

I run across signs quite often and received one today.  I got a check from my health insurance company for over a thousand dollars.  Apparently they meant to pay the provider but paid me instead but paid it THREE times.  I called them to advise them and spoke to the customer service department.  She advised me the provider HAD been paid and they had no record of sending that check out.....I thanked her and told her I would send it back, Return Receipt.  Just wanting to make sure I understood, she advised me once again they had NO RECORD  of sending that check.  I knew what she was saying and exactly what she meant.  I will send the check back but I don't have to worry about the bills, they are covered!  Here's the link and a few others if you're new and would like to read more about Feng Shui.

Carole, this is  priceless...excuse the pun. I came across that post of yours yesterday and right now I don't even remember what led me to it; so I was quite surprised to see you blogging about it tonight !  (well, maybe not....)

Something happened yesterday and I didn't get a chance to read it...I think one of my sons called and when I got off the phone I had forgotten about the post as there were other issues to take care of (business)..so, you're blogging about this tonight is a reminder to me to read it!! Thanks......

cute pic.....is that really your piggy bank ?

Great post!  Keep up the great blogging and best of luck to you!

Hi Carole,
This is a good post and I think you are right about more and more people being interested in Feng Shui (or The Secret).  This is not the method I use, but I like the idea.

Maybe it is just the angle but that piggy bank is pitiful looking!    LOL.  I, like Jo want to know--is it yours? If so, I'm sorry but it is funny.

Carole -- I just wrote this comment on the original "Cover Your Bills" post, then realized, I should probably put it here instead ....

Carole --- I wonder what would happen if I stacked up my monthly bank statements, and placed a $20 bill on top of those?  What would happen with a $50 dollar bill or a $100 dollar bill?  (Or would that seem too greedy?)  And you say a little affirmation or prayer and think special thoughts as you do this...  "My bills are covered on time and in full?"

And that little box containing the stack of bills (or bank statements) should I place it in a particular spot in the room?

I'm thinking I should find something especially pretty for the bill box.  A little lined basket maybe?  But not too big -- too big would invite more bills in to fill up the space, no?  <s>  And should I put a cover on the box, or leave it open for all the world to see?

Thanks again for all your contributions -- I am so glad to see you return to work after all the challenges at your own home!

Hey Carole - we are so busy these days I have and come over here to read your posts to find out what is going on with you. Does the Money Pit ring a bell? I was just bragging about you.

After reading Sheron's recent post about you, I have subscribed to your blog.  I am always interested in learning something new.

I have also checked out the link you mentioned about "covering your bills", and I am going to try it.  With a daughter recently transferring to CW Post and a son in his senior year in high school, I would be very happy to have a little bit left over every month.

Thanks for your informative and helpful posts!

Carole--I am so glad you are feeling better and back on the job. It really rejuvenates you! That piggy really needs help! :)

Candy, Thank you, you're a sweetheart.  Things are looking up over here, I'll post about it if I can see straight when I'm done commenting.

Jo, Very funny :)  Did I mention it?  I've been sleepless in Long Island for the past few weeks but I see the clouds clearing a bit.....No, that is NOT my Piggy.  That is what my Piggy Bank would look like right now if I had one!

Stephanie, Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my post and commenting.  I hope you'll try this, it works!

Cynthia, you can incorporate different methods together, I get my best results that way.  It's all about INTENTION and I know you, you'll be attracting back the BEST!  Thanks for that recipe!! Your timing is perfect.

Cheryl, I love your questions.  I keep my bills away from my computer where I do work and will get contacts from clients.  And I would not cover the box as you'd want the money that you've placed over your bills to be what's on top and dominant.  I honestly have no idea why this works except that we are doing it with INTENTION aka The Law of Attraction and we don't worry about them after we know they're covered.  As for your bank statement, my own personal feeling is if it's increasing monthly, I would do it as well...if not I would use other methods to get the money moving IN.  Surely I have an old post about that :)  Let me know if it works for you.

Ah, Sheron, Thank YOU!  I have helped a few people on AR and only a very few have acknowledged their positive results.  Believe me, I was as happy as you were when you told me!  And that's what this work is about and why I love it!  Maybe they'll believe you----wouldn't that be nice?  I know you know I treasure you!

Kathy, Thank you, a fellow Long Islander--how nice!  We're growing bit by bit on the Island now!  I hope you do try it and I've been to CW Post when my daughter was applying for college.  She's in New Paltz (whew, a state school!) but she's going tor a double major and may never graduate :)  Feel free to call me if you'd like.

Teri, It was so good to return to work after being stuck in.  Things are looking up; there is still work to be done but I love Activerainers!!

Carole,  I must admit I am a bit confused about the Feng Sui "experts" in my new community in NC.  In CA the area I practiced real estate had about 50% Pacific Rim transplants so I had many encounters with true Feng Sui masters and even had my own house analyzed.  But, what I read here in NC is fairly mundane and doesn't take into consideration the specifics of a property and the owner which is how I saw it done in CA.  Who do I believe?

09/19/2007 08:57 AM by Lake Norman Real Estate ~ Diane Aurit (RE/MAX at the Lake)

Diane, It's a great question and I hope I don't confuse you.  We ALL practice differently and we all have different perspectives on the same thing.  So while one person will see a Fireplace in the Wealth area and warn you that your "Money will go up and out the chute" another might see it as a way to absolutely Set your money area on fire and take it as a wonderful placement.

And of course we all practice differently.  I find that being Certified is important (anyone can and do put up websites that they are Feng Shui Consultants and it may be they've just read a book on it) and the years of experience they've had because every person and every home and situation is so unique.  I believe the mundane methods you're speaking of are Western Methods.  They are simple and I absolutely believe they work.  It's impossible for some people to renovate (as they are sometimes asked to do) or move....so practical methods were incorporated.  If you believe Professor Lin Yun, he claims the principles of Feng Shui are 80% of the INTENTION you put into making the changes and the actual changes themselves account for only 20% of what you are actually creating.  And I see the clients that have the best intentions and truly focus and follow the principles do the best......You're more then welcome to call if you'd like me to clarify this.

09/19/2007 09:12 PM by Carole Provenzale Owner, Feng Shui Long Island & New York (Feng Shui Long Island & New York City)

Carole:  Thank you for the great explanation!  I think I'm having a hard time getting past the fact that all of the Feng Sui masters I met were elderly Chinese gentlemen so I have this perception of  a concept so rooted in the Chinese culture that I don't know how true to the origins the new Feng Shui experts are.  This is in no way meant to disparage you or your profession, I just am curious.  When my house was evaluated it was divided in to 9 quadrants and everything was based upon the year the roof was originally put on the house (enclosed the energy) and the primary owner's age, birth date etc.  Each of the 9 spaces were addressed and solutions found...i.e. running water, colors, adding metal, etc.  It worked!

09/20/2007 07:55 AM by Lake Norman Real Estate ~ Diane Aurit (RE/MAX at the Lake)

Diane, There are so many schools of Feng Shui and so many ways to practice it and they all work!  I have a post about some of the different forms and schools of Feng Shui and I'll take a look for it tomorrow. It amazes me as we all have different methods and perspectives yet I have seen no matter how it's practiced, all the methods work.  I combine several different ones because, to me, that's what makes the most sense.  I have to believe that what Professor Lin Yun says is true:  It is 80% of the INTENTION you put into it and only 20% accounts for the actual changes.  It's good energy at work :)

Here's to fattening that pathetic pink porker Carole! He looks so so so ...pathetic, is all I can think. I admire your calm and trust. That's quite the story of the insurance checks - you know darned well when it isn't right and you know darned well to do right! Talk about chi playing around..

Hi Deborah, I swear I have never had so many people in and out of my house EVER.  I am getting there, I am having a cement wall put up and then the rebuilding (more people in and out).  There are lessons in this, I sure hope I get them all.  Thank you for "checking up" on me :)

10/03/2007 11:35 PM by Carole Provenzale Owner, Feng Shui Long Island & New York (Feng Shui Long Island & New York City)

Just to let you know - I'm still sending energy out to fatten that pig! It can be hard sometimes to 'get' all the lessons - realizations can come much later - well that's my story, but I've begun to think I'm a slow learner! That's not a bad thing - just is.

10/15/2007 03:52 PM by Deborah Pearce - Living Spaces - Kelowna Home Staging & Interior Design (Living Spaces Interiors & Home Staging)

Loretta, Thank you, he's going to need it, he's not looking so good these days!  The contractor that I trusted and hired did NOT solve the problem at all.  He took the money and ran; I am back to square one.  We ALL learn lessons and sometimes trust the wrong people or don't decisions no matter how careful we are.  You're not at all a slow learner, you're just a LEARNER.  Which is a wonderful thing to be!

10/16/2007 07:33 AM by Carole Provenzale Owner, Feng Shui Long Island & New York (Feng Shui Long Island & New York City)

^Deborah^, Carole, not Loretta teehee! Please don't feel you have to keep up if you're too busy. I am so sorry to hear about your setback. I'm holding you in my thoughts- visualizing a breakthrough. I wonder if you posted a support request? Just a thought.

10/17/2007 09:20 PM by Deborah Pearce - Living Spaces - Kelowna Home Staging & Interior Design (Living Spaces Interiors & Home Staging)

Deborah, I am SO SORRY!  I guess you can tell this has gotten to me but I do apologize VERY much!!  I don't know what a support request is but I am just trying to work my way through all these people with conflicting information and it's difficult.  Thank you SO much for your support!

10/17/2007 09:38 PM by Carole Provenzale Owner, Feng Shui Long Island & New York (Feng Shui Long Island & New York City)

I just thought that perhaps Carole, you might post a request asking for support with "...trying to work my way through all these people with conflicting information and it's difficult."

Your friends here can join energies in supporting you - put into action their 'Secret' power of intention on your behalf. 'Where 2 or more are gathered, in agreement, it will be done....'

Deborah, That's beautiful!  I think they are already doing that from the wonderful calls and emails I have been getting in support--yours included.  I am thankful for each and every one of them and have so many people pulling for me.  But I have never heard that quote, it is just beautiful......and very true.  Thank you!!
