Closing gifts are forever a challenge for real estate agents. Some do not do them, some do. For those who do, the pressure of what and how much leads to a whole new set of challenges. Here is a rather inexpensive yet sentimental closing gift idea.

Take a picture of the new home. Do so with or without the buyers in front of the home. Take the picture back to your office and use a photo editing program (Adobe Photoshop Elements is good) to transform the picture from a photo to a water color, sepia, or pencil line drawing. Print it 8x10 and purchase a frame for $10 to $20 and mount it. Deliver it to your client.

It's simple $20 to $30 gift with shelf life.

Great idea.  I think especially first time homebuyers would love this.  I'm going to give it a try on our next closing!  Thanks for the idea!

That's a good idea. It is amazing how good those photo effects look.

If you want to spend a little more, you can also get an artist to do a sketch of the place.  In my neck of the woods (San Francisco) it only runs about $200 and they can add an artistic flair to it that I've never been able to add with photoshop - but then again, I'm not all that great with it to begin with.  It's a great idea Tim!  Thanks!

A great idea!  I have made postcards with address change notifications so clients could send them to family but this is a longer lasting idea...
