Enough of the plowing and shoveling...it's time for a walk in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Ready to get some fresh air and take a little snow shoe in the woods. White Mountain Ski Resort snow totals : Cannon Mountain in the Franconia Notch State park got 31 inches, Bretton Woods at the base of Mount Washington ( the highest peak in the north - east at 6,300 feet) got 34 inches and depending on which reports you read Loon Mountain (where my real estate office is) Got 27 inches. My snow shoe six miles south of Loon proved to be all of two feet. A really good work-out in snow shoes.
Here are some of the highlights of my hike, and the pictures from my walk in the woods after the storm.
The wind along the Pemigewasset river was absolutely howling...it made the 14 degree outside temperature feel like 20 below with gusts of 30 miles per hour. Time to head away from the open water.
Two points of interest along the way...this rusted old shell of a car appears to be close to a hundred years old, and Mile marker "P-17" is 17 miles from Plymouth. This is where I turn around and head on home (about a 3 mile round trip) a good work out in two new feet of snow.
The White Mountains Are Really White today...even with a wind chill factor of 20 below I had to get outside.
Almost Home after a nice walk in the woods. To see all area properties, click on the MLS button Below and search by town price or style of property anywhere in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
