31 Days of December Challenge. Day 28. RE-DEFINE.
Should you let your success or failure define who you are as a person? Many people who are successful today failed first. I have yet to meet the person who didn't fail at something first before they finally succeeded. Many people didn't succeed this year in Real Estate. But that doesn't make you a failure. It just means that you have to make some changes and work harder. This market was not like 2005. Some things that you might have to do this year to get back on track again and get your business up and running is somethings that many of us might not want to do.
Some of those things can be Open Houses,Cold-Calling Expired Listings and FSBO's,Door Knocking,Attending Networking Events and Client Appreciation Events just to name a few. While some people might hate doing these things,IT STILL WORKS. Many people here have written blogs on how they have gotten business from doing Open Houses,Cold calling Expired Listings and FSBO's,Client Appreciation Events,Attending Networking Events,Door Knocking and more. Just read the ActiveRain Success Stories. But if it is working for them,I know it will work for me and you too. I've learned in this Real Estate Market that you can't abandon any form of way to generate leads no matter how many leads you have. You have to continue generating leads. Real Estate is a daily lead generating business. 2011 is the year of Re-building. However I have already started process a little early thanks to the great teachers-BLOGGERS here on Active Rain.
Here are some of the things that I did today. I couldn't do much because my pretty young active niece who is here on a visit is under the weather and I got to admit,I am little concerned. She is adjusting to the weather I guess coming from Nigeria. Pray that she feels better.
- Got another referral from different Active Rain Rainmaker. This person is a cash investor looking to buy in the 30000. I sent him an e-mail and he has yet to respond. I will follow up with him tomorrow.
- Followed up with a couple of other referrals.
- Wrote my first blog for the latest contest by Bob ActiveRain Challenge: Never Answer the Same Question Twice (5000 points)
- Wrote this blog.
- Wrote my 31 Days of December Challenge. Day 27.
- Commented and read some other blogs
- Reviewing other Active Rain profiles so I can improve mine.
