SPCA- Where Hearts Are Brought Together

By

Now that 2010 is coming to a close I decided it was time to look into getting a new kitty. So I went to the local SPCA and adopted not one but two 18 month old brothers. It was the best decision I made all year!

Please welcome Target to the Brown householdTarget

And Elliotte whose fur is a sleek as his brothers is fluffy

Elliotte

The day after Christmas was cold and full of snow flurries. it was a day of just getting in the car and heading to the SPCA determined to bring a ball of fluff home. It did not take long for me to connect with Elliotte and Target. We just seemed to snuggle in immediately with each other.

The SPCA was really easy to work with. I filled out a 3 page adoption form, paid the fee ($20.00 per kitty) and carried them home in about 90 minutes. They came complete with 30 day pet insurance, their shots, and an enbedded micro chip for security. You can't beat the love for the price. The SPCA has over 400 kitties to choose from and if they are all as sweet as the two I adopted then everyone needs to go there and adopt!

The SPCA is located on Bay Ridge Ave in the Eastport section of Annapolis. The staff is warm, welcoming and ever so helpful and the kitties.... well there is one to match any personality or hearts desire. I ended up with the best of both worlds as Elliotte is a lap sitter and Target is the rub and lay beside me.

So.... if you are thinking of bringing a little extra love into your home this new year go check out the local SPCA. You will be delighted.

Those are sweet looking kitties, Martha. Same coloring, but boy, the fur sure is different! So nice that you gave them a home, and they gave you more friends to snuggle! Enjoy

How nice, Martha!  You gave two really sweet fur-face children the Christmas gift of a new home and family. They are adorable.  All of our cats are rescues - usually they just get lost or left behind when folks move and we take them in.  They give so much love that we couldn't do without them.

Martha-how wonderful that you took in the brothers.  I'm sure separating them would have been tramatic for them.  I'm sure their antics will fill your house with lots of blog fodder and appreciation for a long time to come.  Happy New Year!

Good for you, Martha. These two are gorgeous.  I'll warn you to brush the long haired brother as often as you can.  I have a long haired female in the house and if she isn't brushed enough...well...there's nothing like stepping into a nice wet hairball first thing in the morning.
