Keep Your Nose to the Grindstone...
Having spent the past month working in, on and giving folks the business, the 31 DOD Challenge is quickly coming to a close. As the year winds to a close, it is but human nature to get lax and let things slide.
While temping, there is still a lot to get accomplished before the New Year starts. I don't know about you, but it seems, the more I do, the more I see that needs to get done. Kinda the proverbial, too much to do and so little time. That being said, I need to put my nose to the grindstone the next few day. I still think it is a bitch of a position to work in, but what the heck. I'll manage…...

Michael, Your statement "the more I do, the more I see that needs to get done."
I believe that totally covers it! I can't visit Active Rain without coming away with more to do than I went in with!
Diane, more like grinding the other cheek! I agree. I seem to come out of ActiveRain with many ideas, but in the end I ask what one thing can I implement in the next 40 days every day and sustain. I've narrowed my business activity to things that I can sustain over the long run with minimal cost and effort but get the most lead generation from. Sustainment is the main ingredient I look for when taking on a new task. Could I sustain this new activity for my clients and make it worthwhile for them? If so, it'll be worthwhile for me, too.
Michael.....working diligently certainly does create more work.....I guess that's the vicious cycle we've created....have a good day, Michael.
Michael- what this 31 DinD has made me realize is that you can do something every day for your business, whether it's blogging, tweeting, making calls, whatever... every day counts!
Good morning sir,
I know what you are saying, it seems like for every ONE thing I get finished there are two things that come to the funeral. Good luck in getting things finished before the start of the New Year so you can start fresh.
Michael, i too can't keep up with all that needs to be done to rise with the cream...it's a perpetual battle..good luck to you..you could mill some johnnycake meal while you are at it ...
Hee Hee hee...I love the last line on this one especially! Take care and keep on grinding!
Grind away my friend. From our conversations, it looks like the new year is looking like it's gearing up to be a successful one for you.
My nose is to the grind stone and doing well sliding into 2011. If agents work hard there is business out there to be had!!
Michael - I never did understand that term. But your picture is interesting.
Michael,
It is just as easy, and more fun, to get a red nose by drinking.
Hi Michael, Love the picture, but I agree with Steve, there's much easier ways to get a red nose. Happy New Year! jay
Michael, you are so right ....."the more I do, the more I see that needs to get done." Happy New Year!!!
You can do it!! As for me... it wouldn't hurt this BIG ole nose to do just that!! :OD
Stay the course Michael...I bet you're primed to start the new year with a bang. Best wishes for a prosperous 2011.
Where does it say to keep your cheek to the grindstone? Or is it the brim of your hat?
I just stopped by to wish you well and a prosperous 2011
From your friend who sells Charlottesville Real EstateHappy New Year!
Christmas this year was tough at our household as the flu made its rounds. We kinda felt like we were really being grounded down for sure!
