Ring in the New Year at the Sixth Annual New Year's Eve Party on Main Street in Downtown Daytona Beach! Happy New Year 2011!
Organizers of the Sixth Annual New Year's Eve Daytona Beach Event are planning a descending, 6 foot diameter Ball to drop during the countdown to 2011. Al Smith, of Al Smith Productions and Marketing who also owns Angel and Phelps Chocolate Factory and Tony Vsconti, owner of AAAA Productions (an audio/lighting company located in Lake County) have been working on the design of the Ball and collaborating on how to get it done. The ball will be erected approximately 30 feet in the air, and will be a mirror ball with LED lights around it. Live Ball dropping will be presented by Brite House Networks.
The New Year's Eve on Main Street Event will begin at 6pm Friday until 2am.
The event will also feature bands on five stages, including the Kiss tribute band Destroyer.
Stilt walkers, jugglers, and other street performers, festival food, drinks, and at midnight there will be a spectacular fireworks show.
Admission to the event is "Free".

A trolly will run from 6pm to 2am Friday evening along Atlantic Avenue from Granada Blvd in Ormond Beach to Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange. There will be FREE shuttle service from beachside hotels to main street available from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
