31 Day Challenge Catch Up

By

Confess I have been so busy I need to catch up 7 days!  That's a good thing I guess - especially if it leads to more and better business in 2011!

Days 24 & 25.  Like most of you I hope, I took the days off to recharge my batteries, catch up on some sleep, do a lot of cooking and spending some serious time with family and friends.  It was low key and quiet - just what I needed!  The food was simply fine, the wine spectacular and the kinship very special indeed.  Wrote a blog post on multi-tasking

Day 26, Sunday.  Back to work - though rather casually I must admit.  Able to spend the day in a sweatsuit and work from home.  Continued editing my contact list in RealtyJuggler.  Completed negotiations on a purchase for a young 1st time buyer and put the home Under Contract.  Received 2 new Zillow leads that actually look promising.

Day 27, Monday.  My Birthday so I was tempted to stay in the sweatsuit at home and just continue my veg-out.  But I overcame it and got some things done.  Did some pre-marketing calls on 2 new listings I will be signing up in the next week or so.  Addendum extensions for property inspections at 2 homes.  My birthday present was finally getting my own home on Folly Beach SC Under Contract!!

Day 28, Tuesday.  Volunteered for morning floor duty at the office.  Followed up on Sunday's Zillow contacts and got another one.  Listing appointment on a small bar and restaurant.  If I can get them to get their heads out of the clouds on the asking price it could be a nice listing.  Met some friends to plan a winter pub crawl for January.  Always a good time.

Day 29, Wednesday.  Scheduled morning floor duty.  No sooner settled than I got a serious, pre-approved walk-in buyer who was in the area touring on their own and were ready to talk to a realtor!  Nice!  Got appraisals in and all docs ready for my first January close.  Scheduled inspections on recent Under Contract.  Two meetings with current seller clients on marketing plans for 2011.

Day 30, Thursday.  Volunteered for AM floor duty again!  Wrote Blog post on floor duty.  Got a referral call as the agent on duty.  I am loving this floor time!  Another Zillow call.  And someone FINALLY found me on AR and called for representation because of it.  First one!  I am feeling really good right now and the day is not over.

One day left for the Challenge.  I hope you all have enjoyed it as much as I.

Thanks Donna.  It has definately been a great year.  Very best to you in 2011 as well.  Be safe this evening - we used to call it "amateur night".

Thanks for the post on RealtyJuggler, I am just bookmarking sites for now to do my research on them to see if it is worth getting or not for my brokerage here in Boise, Idaho.

Morning Jim.  I am in the 4th week of the 90-day free trial.  So far so good.  Hardest part is finally cleaning up my contact list of several thousand names.  Not hard.  Just laborious.  Should have done a better job of cleaning it up long ago.  I think this ultimately will be a major improvement on my efforts at being organized and efficient - from prospecting to transaction management and general follow up.
