Your Distressed Property and Short Sale Expert in Maryland

Unlike most of the nation, home prices in the Washington DC area are rising - in DC itself and most surrounding counties. Only parts of Southern California rose in prices, but none as much as DC.

DC prices rose almost 3% over this time last year.

Montgomery County, MD, prices rose almost 2%.

Frederick County, MD, sagged more than 2%

Charles County, MD, dropped about 4%.

Prince Georges County, MD, dropped almost 16%.

Prince William County, VA, prices rose nearly 20% over last year.

Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, VA, prices rose over 8%.

Depending on the county you want to live in be warned - don't look at national statistics - look locally - I can help you with Maryland and Virginia and DC searches - call me.

Hey Dennis,

I am not shocked about the increase in DC prices because of the government hiring and the tax credit. However, I wonder why such a HUGE disparity for Prince William Count? Any thoughts?

Prince William seems to have had a large HIspanic population, who got hit hard fortwo reasons; 1) lack of work inmany areaes they were employeed in, and 2) Many ARM loans, or other abusive lending practices to high risk borrowers.

Also, Prince Georges had some of the same factors - higher risk home buyers
