This is going to be the year...

It happens to me every year.  I get all excited at the end of the December, thinking about all the changes I'm going to make.  "This is finally going to be the year..."

However, each year I fail to meet most of my goals, whether they be personal, work-related, or health related.  That doesn't mean I'm a failure, or that I haven't accomplished anything, but it is a little depressing to look back and see none of my resolutions achieved entirely.

This year will be different (aren't they all)!  I will be more specific and come up with game plans to acheive each one (I've also found that setting lower standard seems to help too).  I've even set up Outlook reminders that will pop up periodically to encourage review and improvement.

My largest (and most generic) goal is to make sure I keep providing my clients the best value possible.  There is nothing worse than leaving something to be desired; and our business is helping people with some of the largest decisions of their lives- too much is at stake.

What are your resolutions and how do you keep up on them?

We categorize our resolutions....health, business, etc.....and the most important thing about making "this the year" is to keep them foremost in your business/personal eye and not just say what you are going to do...but how you are going to do it....and if your first course of action is not working, try another...rinse, lather and repeat !
