My trip to Nevada (Part 6)

By
Real Estate Agent with SHAHAR Management

When we went into the Grand Canyon I had my flip video camera with me and unfortunately due to the fact that I was trying to find a place to hang on to in the helicopter on the way down there was no filming going on.  Once we were on the floor of the canyon I filmed the helicopter coming in to pick each group up to take them back to the rim of the canyon.  I believe the one in the video might even have been the one we came down in.  We went back up in a different one.  Doesn't matter though.  Coming down the 5000 feet or going up was not a fun ride for me or most of us in the helicopter.  Not something I will be doing again anytime soon.         =====:-O

Helicopters are a bit scary.  We flew in one in Hawaii.  To this day I swear he was smoking wacky tobacy because we almost went into the mountainside a couple times.

Hi Debra, That surely did look like fun to me.I am envious. I think I might have to get over to the GC and try that. Maybe this summer. Sure beats the donkey trail going straight downhill, LOL. Loved the video. BTW, you are pretty good at that!

Hi Debra, I laughed when I read you were looking for a place to hang onto on the way down...my last helicopter ride I was squeezing my husband's thigh so hard I think the fingernail marks went away in about a week! LOL  They are a little scary but fun too.  Good job on the video!  Happy New Year Debra! (good thing you survived the flight and can celebrate)

I took a helicopter ride in Hawaii and I thought it was the coolest experience ever.

Flying in one of thse little 4 seater jet planes, now that was another story! And not something I plan on doing again.

Not a real person
San Diego, CA

I love helicopter rides. The first one I took was at the Royal Gorge in Colorado. Since then I’ve done Niagara Falls, San Francisco, San Diego, and Vancouver. The company in San Diego is having a special of $99 per person right now, normally $300 per person. I trying to find a good time to be devious and take my other half for another helicopter ride.

Happy New Year!

Debra, never been to the Grand Canyon, so thanks for the video. I was on a helicopter in Hawaii it was very nice, but perhaps a bigger one, not sure.

Thanks for all the comments.  I think it would have been alittle more enjoyable if there had been some type of harness seat belt or something to hang onto.  The helicopter was quite small too.  So for the time being another helicopter ride is not in my top ten of things I would like to do!  LOL
