Brampton - Snow Removal Financial Assistance Program
The City of Brampton has a Financial Assistance Program to assist senior citizens and physically challenged homeonwers in Brampton with costs that are incurred to hire a service provider to remove snow from sideways and driveways.
Eligible applicants will receive reimbursements for the 2010/2011 snow season of
- up to $100 for non-corner lot properties
- up to $150 for corner lot properties with sidewalks on two sides of the property and where both sidewalks are not cleared by the City of Brampton
- up to $100 for all other corner lots
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Financial Assistance Program
- Be 65 years of age or more at the date of the application OR be permanently confined to a wheelchair, restricted to the permanent use of crutches or braces, or otherwise be permanently disabled in such a way as to restrict physical mobility.
- Own and occupy the property on which the application is made.
- Not have claimed a credit on any other property for the same winter season.
- Not live in a condominium dwelling whereby all snow removal is the direct responsibility of the condominium corporation.

After the City of Brampton has approved an application, you must complete and return the Reimbursement Form to the City of Brampton, no later than July 31, 2011, It is available at http://www.brampton.ca/en/residents/Roads/snow-removal/Documents/reimb-form.pdf
