Sairam Om: Best Indian Cuisine in Champaign IL
I've been meaning to write this review for a while now, but I certainly haven't forgotten how much I enjoyed my experience at Sairam Om. Now it's been a few months since Sairam Om opened and I visited the restaurant in west Champaign, and there are reviews all over the internet supporting my own opinion of the cuisine: it's the best Indian food in Champaign.
In fact, it's the best Indian food I've ever had. Unlike some other reviewers, I've never actually been to India so I can't comment on its authenticity. But I can say that it is absolutely divinely delicious. I'm not sure what the difference between the food at Sairam Om and other Indian restaurants is exactly, but to me the food at Sairam Om tastes fresher and richer in flavor. It's perfection.
When I visited, the restaurant had only recently opened and there were very few other people there. But the waiters were attentive, friendly and helpful. Also, the prices are very reasonable for such large portions. Entrees were around $10-$14 and my serving was large enough to be my lunch the next day, too.
If you like Indian cuisine, you will love Sairam Om.
