Happy New Year. We had an unbelievable event unfold yesterday! A fire in our kitchen...

Thank God, our friend Troy was here for the ND/Maimi game. Melody smelled something funny in the kitchen and literally in seconds flames were pouring out of the dryer. The fire department responded in 3 minutes... 4 trucks and an ambulance and controlled the situation in seconds. We dodged a bullet! The kitchen must be repainted, need a new washer/dryer... the good news is we're safe... How's that for the final day of 2010? Today:

• Today: A mix of clouds and sun. High near 60F. Winds light and variable.
