I just watched an amazing video which I've posted below called the Money Tree. There are so many different interpretations. One that struck me was that people are oblivious to opportunity that is right in front of them. How many of us are looking for something that we already have or is within our reach? How many of our clients are NOT buying real estate today when they should be looking at this incredible wealth building opportunity for what it is? I was showing homes this past weekend. It was incredible to see townhomes in great communities selling for 40-60% less than they had sold for just as little as 5 years before. Luckily for my client, we are going to make an offer and ACT. Watch this video and don't let the opportunities in your life pass you by.
The Money Tree is an interesting concept. This video is another kind of practical money tree and not the concept of compounding...
Thanks John.

Thanks for posting this interesting video about The Money Tree and how many people are "blind" to it, John! I just re-blogged this post and also suggested it for a feature. :)

Very interesting to watch people just walk on by....just shows we are a society that is just too busy or blind :)
John: In addition to the two things that were mentioned at the end of the video... that the author found "interesting" about the reactions, or non-reactions of folks walking by the money tree... I found it "interesting" that folks who DID stop and take a dollar... did not take everything they could reach. A few women took several dollars, one I think took perhaps six or seven, but nobody who took at least one... choose to be a "money-hog" and take as much as they possibly could.
I also found it interesting that just a bit before the middle of the video... a woman in a cape... perhaps from a beauty salon... came out and took one or two, and then told others about the tree. Then... they stood there, and pointed at the tree for others to see.
What I am saying here is... that besides those who did not see it, or ignore it... others did not "take advantage" of it in a pigg'ish way. I liked that.
Now... if you wanted to attract Realtors... you could have taken down the dollar bills, and replaced them with donuts. You would be surprised (or maybe not) what many Realtors would do for a free donut !
