I've gotten in the habit of using shortcut keys whenever possible.  Things like "Control + A" for selecting everything, "Control + C" to copy it in the clipboard and "Control + V" to paste the copied material into the application I'm currently working on.  It didn't seem like it at first, but using these keys is much faster than using the mouse to reach up and select the function from the tool bar.

These shortcut keys also work in AR's blog text editor.  But I've gotten in trouble trying to use the Undo ("Control + Z") and the Redo ("Shift + Control + Z") shortcuts.  AR's text editor just doesn't like these at all.  Earlier today I tried to "Undo" a new paragraph (the "enter" key) only to loose EVERYTHING ... not just a brief blog entry but about eight paragraphs of text.

So maybe someone will learn from my mistake and save themselves the loss of a few hairs.  This AR text editor is nifty, but its just an XML plug in ... not a windows application.

Thanks for the warning. I tried to copy a portion of an article I pushed print and ended up with 56 pages.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the short-cut keys and the AR editor.

I've also found that the AR editor will "de-code" encoded HTML I've used to camo my e-mail address within a post (I'll write a blog post on that one in the near future).  Thus, I tend to edit an existing post on my local pc with MS FrontPage, instead of using the AR editor.

Dionne - WOW ... I hate it when my computer misbehaves like that.

John - Thanks for your comment ... I was wondering what html editor AR bloggers are using.  I tend to just type in raw code.
