Hello everyone
Sorry for the last posting. I spent my afternoon at a Philosophy talk on "Moral Inerta." It was...hmm...how to put it politely....something different. It wasn't quite what I thought it would be. But it happened. And now it's over. I'm sure the Philosopher who gave the talk was a lot smarter than me and could see the significance of the statements she was making.
Yeah.
Now, to the topic at hand. In real estate, information is king. We need to know everything about a real estate transaction. Believe me, there's a lot that can come up under short notice. A trained and responsible real estate agent is aware of every situation and is armed with the knowledge to resolve it.
In Illinois, every agent and broker are required to take continuing education classes. The state expects us to stay up to date on every new piece of information that comes out. If there's a new law that'll affect your property rights, we'll know about it. Is there a new sort of loan out there? We better know about it, or you'll find the other agent that does. Have the contracts changed? You better believe the agent will know about it.
Here's the link to the State of Illinois website discussing everything that governs what it means to be a real estate agent. You see, the state expects certain standards of quality from their real estate agents. Just like doctors, nurses, and other professionals...there are regulations and standards that guide and judge our actions. REALTORS stick by these standards and go beyond them to make sure their clients will get the best service possible.
The real estate agent is trained to know everything (or close to it) about the real estate transaction. That's one of the main reasons people use us. And the good agent will use their training to help their client to have the best possible experience.
I know I do.
