Kick off January With A BANG! Day 1 ...
Great Advice! This idea is very similar to the format I've started using for weekly business planning. It is so important to "score keep" so you can see progress toward meeting your goals!
In the spirit of the post-a-day challenge, every day I intend to post 1 idea to help you make 2011 your best year ever. If you can, try to complete the task the day I post it. But if you cannot or are playing catch up here, don't worry! This is just meant as a marketing push to get you in the groove to marketing yourself and networking every single day, doing something every day to keep your business rolling and the pipeline full. Here we go.
1. PLAN your SUCCESS.
Get a calendar -- buy one, grab one of the free ones that people sent you in December, or print out a free version online (google free calendar creator and you'll find a dozen sites where you can print out free calendar pages).
I hope that in November or December you set some goals. If you did not, stop right here and DO THAT first. Set goals because if you don't know where you want to go, how are you going to get there?
The calendar pages should be one per month, and big enough to write on. Or you could use google calendar or an online calendar. I prefer to use both systems. I log my appointments in on google calendar, but I still carry a print out with me in my notebook. The printout is where you are going to write your daily activities (a summary). It's kind of a weekly check-in to see how you're doing.
On your January 2011 calendar log in every single week tally and later the month):
1--Number of buyer appointments
2--Number of contracts written
3--Number of listing appointments
4--Number of listings taken
5--Number of closings
6--Dollar volumne closed
7--Commission dollars taken home
Now you are set to chart every week (and add up for every month) how you are doing.
