Just about every day we visit Blog Boy’s and TLW’s sites, like we suspect most of you do, just to see what they are up to. A day without laughter is nothing to aspire to, and as we all know it’s a safe bet we’ll find a good laugh in both of these places.

Sometimes though, Blog Boy is being serious, thankfully such a spell rarely seizes TLW. And every time we find BB stuck in one of those real real estate posts, it leaves us longing for Bertha to crash the party again, or for the two of them to solve a problem for us together like they did with the birdgun and the counter offer.

Our usual response to BB’s serious spells is for him to get back to making us laugh. We need that guffaw fix and we tell him so every time we catch him being too real.

Now that has happened to us... and we are starting to understand how  BB and TLW feels. But that doesn’t mean we’re letting them off the hook for a second. Laughter is serious medicine.

It seems there are a few of you have enjoyed some of our recent posts about our industry and some of the fun things about it. We are sincerely appreciative that anything we have done might give someone else pleasure. Satire is a wonderful thing. Especially if there is a ring of truth in it.

Laurie Mindnich just wrote us something that’s very cool. She said “Your consumers are lucky to have you!  Now, get thinking about US!” We were doing our usual end-of-the-week state-of-the-market posts and that stopped us cold.

We don’t have anything else ready, nor anything in our fun-post-ideas do-list that’s anywhere close to being in the BB TLW realm, and that’s a pisser!

What we do have though, are a few things that we got a kick out of that seemed to fall through the AR cracks. These two posts might be fun to review. One is about greed, and the other is about the neighborhood real estate know it all. (we were embarrassingly amused with our nonsense when doing them)

What Happens When Greed Gets in Your Head
Here's the first post: What Happens When Greed Gets in Your Head? This one was a scientific study, don't know know.

The Neighborhood Real Estate Know it All. This is the other one: The Neighborhood Seer: What do do with the Neighbor who knows the real estate market better than anybody. As you know, every neighborhood has one of these. And all of them for sure know our market better than we do, just ask them!

As nice as it was to hear what Laurie had to say, we recently got a comment from Chris Griffith that left us truly stunned. She found a post that we did very early on, before we knew squat about AR, back when we were turning a tooth on AR zwiebeck. It’s about how the computer came to be such a part of our life. It’s not goofy as the others, but it’s background for some of it. Here's the link to it.

Laurie, in the spirit of frivolity, and still considering our sincere empathy for the day-in day-out entertainment-monkey pressing on BB’s and TLW’s back, we hope that you didn’t see these posts before, and that you find at least one good laugh among them.

In the meantime, we’ll finish our real estate market updates, and try to be more on top of “US” in the future. At least we know, there's security in it... and we’re all the better off for it, that BB and TLW will.

I take a look at the "neighborhood seer" and had to laugh at it's truthfullness.  Thanks.

That was a great post Gary. I really enjoyed this. I missed the Seer post and as soon as I stated to read it, this old bag pops into my mind. What gets me is that she has no reserve left and her whole life is about minding everyone else's business. She has even made suggestions to me. I should do this or that and the shameful rest of the story is that she was is one of my past clients. I am so ashamed. I swear she wasn't like this when I sold her place at the turn of the century, it feels like that long ago.

Hi Gary, just stopped by to say hello...now you've peeked my interest with some of the other posts. I'll have to check them out.

Lola, yes we do our own cartoons. The link above about the computer being such a part of our life is background for it. Really appreciate your comments on all of it.

Chris,  and hey back. See what you started.

Dan, isn't it amazing that we're in that one profession where it happens all the time? Can you imagine how doctors, dentists or, gosh forbid, and attorney would react to the neighborhood seer for their industry?

Will, it's our bet that every one of us spawned one of them. It's inevitable.

"Laughter is serious medicine"?

"Turning a tooth on AR zwiebeck"?

How am I going to continue blogging if you guys hog all the awesomeness?

Good morning Richard....I read this late last night but was getting ready to hit the sack so thought it best I stopped by this morning. First is it really 32 degrees in Tahoe this morning? I could use some of that it has been sweltering in Fl this summer.

You know after writing over 300 posts, mostly real estate related, it gets more and more difficult to find things to write about. Our funny videos started as a way to fill in one of my blog spots. By doing this I only have to come up with 3 real estate posts per week. I had no idea Bertha would take off and become so "popular". The truth is TLW and I have a blast making those videos and it has now become kind of a fun thing to do together. We even have sex while I'm dressed as Bertha.

OK OK just kidding but thought I would throw that in there for a quick laugh:) My job is done here.

Nice post about some good down to eath people that I know pretty well after talking to them and meeting them in person.!

Let me add that BB is right..sometimes it is hard to find good RE content to write about.

Sir Bolen and Sir Bolen...

I bet you think he was kidding about having sex while he is Bertha :)

Did you know that sometimes we are serious? It's not often but it happens to the best of us :)

Do you think she gets points for comments when she's not logged in. LOL.

Want me to knock it off? Give me one good reason why I should? :)

It could be Blogging Bertha you know.

She wants to grow up to be just like TLW. Or maybe she needs to grow down to be just like TLW :)
