Polar Dip on Oak Island today

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage~ Ginger Harper Real Estate Team 93383

Our family decided to have the first Annual Polar Dip on Oak Island.  Granted that the air temperature was 69 degrees...but the water temperature was ranging around 38 degrees.  WE have had some cold weather for the last half of December of 2010...

Anyway...5 of our family member decided to forge thru and do the dip.  it was wonderful to watch this.  Legs went numb...but they stay in the water.  Legs looked like they were sunburned when the got out of the water.  Changed clothes and came back to a warm fire int he fireplace at  home.

Great day for the Harper family

That is classic! I have heard a lot of people "suggest" doing something like this, but they seldom follow through. Hope they are thawed out soon!

BRRRR! I don't think I could do it. Now, my boys however would have no problem. Kids don't seem to mind. Have a great 2011!
