Super Bowl Dips and Recipes from Texas

All of these are quick, unbelievably easy and very good:

Green Chile Dip

Green Chile Stew

One of the best dips (which I just recently happened to stumble upon) is Cookwell & Company's Green Chile Stew, which  I purchased from H.E.B. Grocery Store here in Houston.  The two main ingredients are tomatillos and green chiles.  (Don't dwell on the word "stew" -- doesn't sound very appetizing to me, but as a dip it is great and gets lots of compliments.)

1) Purchase 33 oz. jar of Green Chile Stew (Cookwell & Company if you have it where you live.)
2) Pour into a bowl
3) Add mashed avacado, optional. Not really necessary.
4) Serve cold or at room temperature with chips.

People love it and they think it is homemade until you tell them otherwise.

In the grocery store it may be located by the soups and stews because of it's name or you may have to ask where it is, but it will be worth it!

Velveeta, Rotels & Chili

1) Melt Velveeta Cheese
2) Add Rotels
3) Add one can of Chili without beans
4) Keep warm - serve from a crock pot
4) Use as a dip for chips

Chili added to the old standby of Velveeta & Rotels.

Raspberry Chipotle Sauce and Cream Chese

Raspberry Chipolte Over Creme Cheese

Pour the Raspberry Chipolte Over an 8-oz. Block of Creme Cheese.

Serve with Triscuits, etc.

All of these are definite crowd pleasers for Christmas, New Years, Super Bowl, Birthday Parties, Etc.

This post was inspired by Donna Foerster's post Cranberry (and cream cheese) Dip, due to her mention of dips and the Super Bowl.

Joyce, that looks good.  My son is home from college and I haven't seen as much football these past few weeks as at any point in my life.

Great dip ideas Joyce.  Sounds tasty.  I can always incorporate a new dip into the mix.

Gretchen, Hope you like them if you try them.

Dale, Although these are not homemade, they really are good -- as long as you don't feel guilty because they are so easy :)
