Pinehurst NC Real Estate Sales for December have not all be recorded - so here is a preview as to what to expect.
This chart covers Pinehurst and all of the areas in Moore County, NC. Obviously January 2009 was our low point and June/July 2007 was our high point for total gross sales. units sold + average price = gross sales.
There are many interesting things that I notice in this chart. First is the sharp decline in sales after the credit from the Government expired. Many took advantage of this $8,000 first time home buyer credit or the $6,500 buyer credit for those who had previously purchased a home. This credit offered by the Government was issued if you purchased a home and closed prior to June 30, 2010.
Another interesting trend to point out is the most recent months. In the past 5 years (and even before that) you rarely saw such flat sales month after month. Beginning in August of 2010 the Pinehurst area has seen relatively flat sales. This could be an indication to the predictions of some economists that we may have hit bottom, but we are going to ride along it for a while.
This Pinehurst NC Real Estate sales chart is preliminary as there should be a few more closings. I don't expect the additional closings to be significant.
