Here's the HTML for my Facebook Badge. I changed it by adding the -- target="blank" -- after the title so clicking the badge opens a new window instead of taking them away from wherever the badge is.
<br /><p><span style="color: #009900;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Become a Facebook Fan</strong></span></span><br /> <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/B4U-Close-Inspections-Radon-Testing/125892960811" title="B4U Close Inspections & Radon Testing" target="blank"><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/125892960811.4191.997760058.png" height="200" width="120" style="border: 0px;" /></a><br />
For awhile I had the badge in my blog signature also, however, I found that my signature doesn't appear in my blogs when I post them to Localism. I eliminated the badge from the signature, it's already on the blog page anyway (thru the steps you describe above) and add the html for the badge into any post I make to Localism. That gets the Facebook badge right into each of my Localism posts.
Here's the link to my Facebook page.
Example in Localism
Here's another one for you. I link my Localism posts on Facebook using the URL provided by the "Generate Short URL" at the bottom of each post. Any clicks on that "Short Url" are tracked on your Statistics Page here on AR. It lets me see how many people click on the link on Facebook to read the full article.
Thank you for posting this! We followed your instructions and now have this on our profile!
Hi Steven - I know you posted this a while ago - but the good blogs keep on giving! :-) I now have a FB link on my profile - THANK YOU! (and have 'liked' your FB biz page!)
I just stumbled upon this posting while looking for something else on Active Rain and I am glad I did! Thanks for the information and video tutorial! I am a new(er) member of AR and I didn't know you could do this...
And thanks for the extra info too Erby!
