funny bird fossilThings I LOVE about my hometown - Laramie, Wyoming

I did it!  I found my voice.  My current blogging mission is to highlight what I love about my hometown of Laramie, Wyoming!  I'd do it in a countdown from the top ten, however - that would take too much organization and forethought for me.  So...

If you haven't discovered the University of Wyoming Geological Museum by now, then you probably won't.  It was "officially" closed to the public a year and a half ago, but is unofficially open on some Saturdays and by private arrangement.  So even though it would take some effort and detective work to find a time to get in, it is still one of the places I love in Laramie.

Brenda--Who doesn't love dinosaurs?  I will bet Wyoming is one of the states where lots of them were excavated.  It would be worth the trouble to get in to see these!  Great pictures and great job adding them.  Another tip that was given to me is that when adding pics, under appearance, put 5 for vertical space and 10 for horizontal space---that will keep the words from being too close to the pictures.  I have seen other people recommend other numbers, but I have always used those and they work just fine.  Your are doing awesome!!

    Thanks for coming by, Joshua!

Thanks Pat, it was driving me crazy today how close the words were to the top picture.  I will give the 5/10 appearance thing a try!

Brenda,   You are off to a great start  - both with the challenge and also with some fascinating material about laramie.  I'm not certain if you are familiar with Cathedral Home for Children, but it would be great for one or more posts.

"Cathedral Home for Children has been helping children in need for 100 years. Our long and honorable history speaks to our deep devotion to and strong love for children. We stand committed to helping troubled and traumatized children reclaim and rebuild their lives."

Thanks, Gary.  I will add that to my ever growing list of ideas!  I think I am going to learn a few new things in this quest of mine.
