Okay okay...
When someone wakes up late, it could be due to many reasons... It could be due to going to bed late, maybe hitting the snooze button to many times... Or just ignoring the alarm all together... Or forgetting to actually set your alarm. Or maybe turning down the volume so low, that even the dogs wouldn't hear it.
So yesterday, after a week off on vacation... I woke up late. Instead of waking up at 6am, I woke up at 7am. I popped up, and looked at my iPhone to see the time... Since my alarm hadn't gone off, piercing the night with it annoying buzzing and high pitched noise, I assumed that I still had time to sleep. But then I looked at the time, and it read 7am.
I was confused. I looked to see if the alarm was "on" and it was. The icon in the top right corner stated that the alarm was on, but I didn't remember if it went off... I didn't think I hit the snooze on it, or accidentally hit the "OK" button (which shuts it off for the day, which I think sucks, since I have hit that on accident and slept a few more minutes). So I got up, and wrote it off as a mistake on my part... User error. (ID10.T error)
So I was reading the news this morning, and low and behold... iPhones actually had a bug in them on the first work day of the year, and didn't go off when you set the alarm... So I was not alone... Thousands of people woke up late, missed meetings and even missed flights.
Now I love my iPhone, don't get me wrong. I kinda giggled when I realized it wasn't just me.
So, to my delight, and discourse... It was not user error.
Good morning everyone!
:) Chris
