Nick at Rips Co Surf & Skate shop in Royal Palm Beach Shave your head Charity update!!

Hi folks.. I just want to update the people that are interested in the fund-raiser and also Thank the kind hearted people that have sent in checks and written posts. (I'll be sending out post cards at the end of the event to thank each of you individually)

Today is the day!! ok, so it WAS the day to do the head shaving. It's been postponed, since we are no where near the goal. Yes, I'm still going to do it, but next week on Saturday night. (Sept 22, 2007 8pm at Rips Co Surf Shop)

The blogging world has only taken this fund raiser so far (and I'm thankful for the support).. and being the person who I am, I won't settle to put my arms down and give up. I'm going out with a fight. These kids and parents are fighting everyday.. so will I.

If you have a minute of your blogging time to forward this link (www.ShaveYourHeadforCharity.com) to all the people in your contact book and ask them to do the same, we can potentially reach a few thousand people, if at least 10 of us do it..? Can I ask for that??

Just like surfing.. never give up when paddling into the ocean. You'll get a break in the waves and get out there and get the ride of your life... just keep pushing. tomorrow I'm going to Cityplace and putting flyers on cars in nearby restaurants... hopefully I can capture some video to share with you folks, pushing for the best.

Georgie,it isn't over.. til it's over :) even after the head is shaved. This has opened my eyes to something bigger than myself.

Been almost a month, How did you do? Hair growing back?

Hey William, doing fine,.. real busy. If you're asking about the collection amount I made it (so far) to about $1200. Hair grows but I keep shaving it. I may do so until I make the $5,000 goal. Have some ideas in the works to keep it going. I'm a little behind getting back to all the donors :(
