Is the home is a safe area? I want to make sure that my new wife is safe in the house when I am working late at night.

My response to Tom was:
Dear Tom:
I can certainly understand your concern since you work so many late nights. Each precinct within the Denver Police department has was is call a Community Relations Officer or CRO. The home that you are looking at is located in District 3, and the CRO for that district in Officer _______________________, and her phone number is 720-XXX-XXXX. If you call her, Officer ________________ can give you all of the crime statistics for that area that the home is located. That way, you can make an informed decision based on facts not here-say.
PS - After Tom called the CRO in his area, he and his wife decided to buy the property in question. They loved the house and referred 2 of their friends to me.
