According to McAfee the biggest "mobile" cyber threats in 2011 include the Android, the Iphone and social networking sites like Foursquare and Facebook Places.
Foursquare and Facebook Places are both websites that allow users to ‘check in' to places when they are out and about the town. These Geolocation sites make it easy for criminals to know when you are home and when you aren't.
Also included in the 2011 biggest threats are social media sites that shorten the URL (like on twitter). These URL shorteners mask the true destinations of the link. In fact, this has recently happened to me at @SanDiegocentric (twitter). Here is one of the tweets I received where the user tweeted and ‘mentioned me-@SanDiegocentric' and then used a URL shortener to mask the real destination of the link. I don't follow this person and they don't follow me.
If you would like to know how to keep your mobile device (and the information on it) safe from cybercriminals just google the "name of your device" and ‘security'. I did just that for my Iphone. Here is the great article I found from PC World on how to keep your Iphone safe.
