New Year's started out COLD for me when I woke up and discovered the furnance went out. This is only the fourth time in less than 30 days that I had to call for a repair man. I didn't really think I'd get a service man out on New Year's Day, but I did! Thanks to Joe Cool's Cooling & Heating, Sherry answered the phone and she was professional, kind and empathetic because she already had a paper trail on me and my furnance. The first two Service Company's I called in early December told me I have to replace the furnance and they both told me I have a Carbon Monoxide Leak - which scared me to death! But Joe Cool came over on the third call and got me up and running with my existing unit. Things were running well until I woke up on New Year's Day.
I am grateful for people who provide extraordinary Customer Service and don't try to sell you something you don't need or something you can't afford. I know that eventually, I will need to replace my HVAC and when that does happen, I am going to call on Joe Cool's Cooling & Heating because they really, really cared. Not only did a man come out to my house on a holiday, he was prompt, courteous, found the problem, showed me what was wrong, and did the work at a price I could afford. Since then, Sherry has called every morning to make sure I was okay and that my furnance was running. Now that's what I really call Quality Service.
I also woke up New Year's Day with a Bang that I didn't know happened, when I discovered someone side swiped my car, obviously at a time when my car was unattended, and whoever did it, didn't leave me a card. The accident happened on the passenger side of the car, in the rear. I didn't notice it until the next morning when I went into my garage and had to walk around my car to get to the driver's seat.
Well, as you can imagine, I wasn't happy about my car scrapes and the broken tail light, but the insurance company responded promptly and with courteous service. Hopefully, this time next week my car will be fixed and looking as good as new again. But I think the lessons I've learned throughout this experience is that you have to stay cool, calm and collected and you have to be nice to people. Being an owner of any type of property involves responsbility, risk, accountability, and liability. When there are people who are in the business, who can help you, it really does make a difference.
In my opinion, every business owner needs to have a Mission Statement that goes something like this, "My mission is to do my job well, keep my emotions in check, be friendly and courteous and make people happy."
The New Year did not start out perfect for me, but I'm glad that I was able to manage the challenges I faced with excellent service representation. I am extremely thankful for the people who were good at their jobs and cared enough to tend to my needs. I'm a giver, and I'm not used to being a recipient - but it sure feels good! I already know, I'm going to refer Joe Cool's Cooling & Heating to other people. I'm hoping that I have the same positive experience with my car. The New Year started out with a Cold Bang, but with warm hearts, I'm discovering that everything is going to be alright.
