Churches and Other Historic Property in Osyka, Mississippi

Osyka, MS, is a wonderful town in Pike County just a stone's throw north of the Louisiana line. It's imbued with a rich history dating back before the Civil War. Here are some pictures I took on a recent trip to the town.

Osyka Presbyterian Church, est. 1856.

The former Catholic church, recently purchased by an individual.

Birdhouse at the old Catholic church.

Osyka Methodist Church.

Masonic Hall, built in 1867, said to be the oldest in the state.

Osyka Baptist Church, est. 1870.
