ActiveRain's New Social Blog
This looks like a real winner. For those of us who use subscriptions to make efficient use of time spent on AR, this is a huge addition. When I see some interesting content, I will often subscribe to that person's blog. So at any time I could click on BLOGS in the uper right, and then on MY SUBSCRIPTIONS. That would give the headline and first few sentences of those blogs.
Now with this, we can easily look beyond the headlines and view the actual blogs from our subsciptions in one place. Very nice.
We have a new feature that helps you view the most recent posts of the members to which you subscribe. Previously you clicked Blogs, saw your blog subscription list on the right hand side and clicked through each amazingly talented member one by one.

The Social Blog is a one stop shop to view the latest posts from your favorite bloggers. Go to http://activerain.com/social/blog and you will see your own version. Here's what mine looks like:
The most recent post of my subscriptions is by Pat Kennedy so her most recent post is listed first. If you scroll down you'll see 10 of the most recent blog posts from the members to which you subscribe on the first page.
Check out the 'Suggested Reading' at the top. The algorithm looks at who I'm subscribed to, who they're subscribed to, adds in a few other components and suggests other bloggers which may interest me. Like many of the social suggestion tools out there, it makes suggestions based on things that interest you. Facebook suggests friends, Amazon suggests products, now ActiveRain suggests bloggers. The 'suggested reading' bar will change each time you return so you always have a chance to check out new and interesting bloggers here in the Rain.
We hope this makes viewing your posts by your favorite bloggers easier while also introducing you to other members of the community that may interest you.
