Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty at the Lakes

No not blogging spam

No not this kind of spam I am asking if anyone else is seeing an increase in e-mail spam lately.  Seems the known spam folder and the inbox are getting more than usual lately.

Anyone else seen this happening.  Yes we have good spam filters but some crap (oops another 4 letter word) is getting through these days.  Open one wrong thing and bingo in comes more.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Sorry - beware of an incoming stupid question..... Are you talking about your own business or personal email? Outlook Express has a pretty decent spam blocker, but I see more and more spam where they've obviously learned to  circumvent the spam blocker. Once you open it, they know they've got a valid address, and it gets worse from there. I agree - gotta be a better way!

Company filters ours so I only see one or two a day. I have different email addresses for different postings. My account which I never use is all spam. I used it once and I have been flooded with spam.

I think it is important which email you use to do different things out on the web.

Thanks Jay

I use spam blocker on Outlook Express.  However, I have been getting "stock tips" that I can't seem to block.  There is no link, and there is no reply email address.  When I checked my email this morning, I had 67 of them.  It is driving me nuts!

I do hope someone has a suggestion.

The main difference I've noticed with spam in the past month or two is that more of them seem to be slipping thru the spam filters, not sure why.

Yep, I've been getting FAR more spam of late than usual.  I have spam blockers and filters set up and somehow way too much is getting around it.  Can't figure out how to correct that.

Spam is not part of life, you can fight it by knowing how to change your web published email address every 6 months.  I wrote a long long blog about stopping spam. I even started a non-profit called

Did you know that your local MLS system is responsible for a ton of your spam?
