NEW YORK, NY (December 10, 2010)-Tiffany & Co. today celebrated the opening of a store in The Woodlands, a planned community situated amid beautiful parks and championship golf courses, in North Houston, Texas. Tiffany's 3,500-square-foot store is located on Market Street, the community's charming shopping area of elegant boutiques and fine restaurants. A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially welcomed the public into the new store. "The Woodlands' village-like atmosphere fits perfectly with the warm and welcoming store we've designed," said store director Kerry O'Connor. "It is our pleasure to invite everyone to discover the Tiffany experience of quality, design and service for which we are renowned worldwide."   The new store's façade features an elaborate metal grille centered over the store's corner entrance.

Constructed of stainless steel in a wheatleaf pattern abstracted from an architectural detail found in Tiffany's Fifth Avenue flagship store, the grille overlays a frosted mirror that creates reflections reminiscent of the dazzling sparkle of Tiffany diamonds. Inside, customers will find an inviting atmosphere of silvery wood paneling, pearlescent wall coverings and a silver leaf chandelier, with brushed stainless steel showcases and vitrines and custom carpeting and furnishings in a subtle blue and gray color palette. In addition, a curved wall of silver lacquer highlights the fine jewelry salon, and a wall of fluted and gradient blue-to-clear glass graces the fashion jewelry salon.   Tiffany & Co. also designed a 13-foot clock that stands outside the new store.

The clock features the distinctive Roman numerals of the Atlas clock that was created in 1853 and today presides over the entrance of Tiffany's Fifth Avenue store.   The spacious store environment welcomes visitors to discover a heritage of glamour and style established over eight generations. This renowned tradition is brilliantly revealed in diamond engagement rings that reflect Tiffany's reputation as the preeminent diamond authority, and in lustrous sterling silver collections that highlight Tiffany as master of American silver design. In addition, customers may choose from such iconic designs as Atlas®, inspired by the Atlas clock; Tiffany 1837TM, Tiffany's founding year engraved on an array of 18 karat gold and sterling silver designs; exquisite charms; as well as watches, accessories and gifts.   Also available is the jewelry of Tiffany's exclusive designers, including the nature-inspired creations of Jean Schlumberger, the sculptural designs of Elsa Peretti and the bold and colorful jewelry statements of Paloma Picasso. Each has influenced American fashion in unique and dramatic ways, and all are written into history as major contributors to the art of design.

what a beautiful store!  Love the entrance, were those cupcakes in tiffany blue frosting at the door?  And the big boxes on the right of the door?  How cute are they!  Your post makes me want to go buy a new necklace or bracelet...but they don't have much I can afford!
