It's cold outside...brrr! Actually it's a balmy 36 degrees right now in Pullman WA. I grumble as I carefully walk on the ice and snow so I don't slip and break something. I sit at my desk with my coat still on, shivering. And then I smile. I think of my little one laughing as she sleds down one of our drift spots in our yard. I look at pictures of her giggling and screaming with excitement.
That's what I needed. To remember the joys of childhood and the enjoyment that snow can bring. Although it can make our adult life a little more tedious, it can be beautiful, brisk and fun.
I have to keep thinking this...it's supposed to snow yet again today, tomorrow and this coming weekend. Yeah for the snow!
