26 Ways the Yellow Pages Can Help Your Business, No Really

We all know that for most Realtors that the lion's share of their business comes from marketing to their Sphere of Influence to get Repeat Business and Referrals. The idea for an agent to advertise in the Yellow Pages is absurd, I agree. After all when was the last time you heard of someone getting a call from a yellow pages ad?

So if I believe advertising in the yellow pages is absurd and that the best business is repeat and referral then you must be saying what the heck is he talking about.

So now that we agree that SOI is the best, let's open up the yellow pages to the beginning. What do you see, Abrasives. Who do you know that is in the Abrasives Business (not who is abrasive)? Write them down. Go to the next item Abstracters hmmm, might we know someone in the abstract business, write them down. Next is Accident Reconstruction Service... You get the idea.

Go through the yellow pages and write down all those that come to mind that are not in your current database and add them to it then continue to market to them for repeat and referral business. By the way in case you missed it, the 26 ways is the alphabet.

Contact these vendors and ask if they mind if you refer them out to clients and customers.  The only string you want attached is...as they are representing you, you want your referrals serviced with the utmost care.

Then, let your clients know you are more than a Realtor...you are also their source of contact for any of their day-to-day needs.

Then, let your vendors know...if they have any real estate needs, you will be happy to take care of them, as well.

Daniel- One of the most important things in blogging is the headline. I have been practicing writing and headlining. I am about three to four weeks out from launching a blog site called 3PoundsofRealEstate.com

The average human brain weighs about three pounds. It will be fun, educational and profitable.

I think this is a good idea.  You could also collect business cards from each of these vendors, punch holes in them and  put them all on a key ring, with your own card on top, of course. This could be something you give to new clients as a perk, at the same time making you stand out with the vendor.
