Estero played their first home game Friday, Sept 14 against Baker.  Bummer, defeated - score is irrelevant.  It was tied minutes before half time.  The thunder started rolling and I made tracks.  Since I didn't have a kid on the field this year I didn't feel obligated to chance death sitting on metal bleecher in a thunderstorm.  Better luck next Friday, boys.  Estero plays Cape Coral Mariner next Friday at Home.  If you're looking for the full season schedule:  Estero High Football Schedule.

Smarty pants (Dan).

Sarah, it had never occurred to me I'd see someone else wearing my son's jersey.  Bummer.

Nice photo. At first I thought it was a scene from the movie 'Friday Night Lights'. Good job.

Sorry to hear about the loss, but that is an awesome photos - very intimidating to play under a sky that looks like that.  We see very few clouds all summer long here in Hemet.

Now Have a Blessed Day,

Hi Chris,
The photo is fantastic.  Sorry the outcome of the game was not in your favor, there's always next time.  Yeah right, tell that to a group of teenagers.  LOL.

That photo is beautiful. I love the way the lights on the field are in stark contrast against the dark sky.

Chris,

Those high school games can be fun to watch - you never know what is going to happen.  Hope the boys from Estero do better next week.

What a striking picture (no pun intended!). I lived in North Carolina 7 years ago and drove down through South Carolina and Georgia to Florida. The storms were so intense in Georgia, we would have to pull over to the side of the road until it passed. While swimming in the pool in Florida we had to get out a few times at the sight of lightning. I loved it though, it was exciting, and the rain was WARM. The rain in Oregon is COLD.
