I recently posted a blog about LOYALTY and I think that somewhere it got misunderstood. I'll try again.....with NASCAR as my reference.
A recent press release announces that Best Buy will be staying with their sponsorship of the FAMED #43 Richard Petty Cup car driven by AJ Allmendinger * RPR has gone through several ownership, manufacturer and driver changes over the last few years and yet Best Buy is staying with them in 2011.
Likewise, NAPA Auto Parts stayed with Michael Waltrip through the #15 Chevrolet winner of the Daytona 500 when he drove for DEI, the #55 Dodge when he drove for Bill Davis for 1 year and now through to the #56 of Martin Truex, Jr. in a Toyota * 3 different numbers * 3 different manufacturers and they have stayed with Michael and MWR. Yes, he gave them GREAT commercials!
Sure, I understand that LOWE'S wants to stay with a WINNER like Jimmy Johnson for a possible 6th championship; however, why would sponsors stay with teams that have not won very much and are changing manufacturers like I choose hairstyles and what shoes to wear?
LOYALTY! To their potential, their performance and their representation of their company!
44 days to the 2011 Daytona 500!
